Work experience prior to joining SFM:
Joe began his career in public accounting where he planned and performed financial statement audits, reviews, and forecasts for a variety of public and private clients. His deep understanding of financial statements and love for capital markets united when he transitioned to his former role as a Portfolio Manager in the Asset Management division of a large, regional bank. Here he gained valuable experience in both equity and fixed income investment management for high-net-worth individual and institutional clients.
Role at SFM:
Joe’s background in accounting and finance aids his focus on fundamental research and analysis. As a Sr. Portfolio Manager Joe’s primary responsibilities include: equity market research, stock selection, portfolio modeling, and portfolio rebalancing and trading.
When not in the office:
Joe enjoys being outdoors with his wife, children, friends, and dogs. He spends his free time in the summer hiking, backpacking, and camping, and enjoys skiing and playing hockey during the winter. Joe’s other hobbies and interests include trying to read his way through the never-ending pile of books on his nightstand, music, and working out.
